Candida presented in simple easy to understand language
Candida is a type of skin rash caused due
to the yeast called Candida albicans present in normal skin in 80
percent of the people. It is a group of yeasts which mainly infect the
skin. Candida means white color of the organisms. And the Candidal
infection is referred to as candidiasis, candidosis or moniliasis. The
existence of this yeast in the skin is normally not visible. But in
some peoples this yeast grows more rapidly causing itchy, scaling
rash. They survive in warm areas like stomach, arm pits and under the
breast. This yeast normally causes no damage to the humans, but when
present in excess will cause the diseases or the reduced immunity.
This yeast is kept in check by the immune system and the beneficial
bacteria present in our body. When these beneficial bacteria are
killed by antibiotics or if the immune system becomes weak, this leads
the rapid growth of the Candida yeast.
A Beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus Acidophilus controls the
production of this yeast. When this bacteria gets destroyed due to
some problems in the body then the rapid growth of the yeast takes
place and this is known as Candida yeast infection or thrush. This
yeast infection may get into the blood stream from their it will
spread to the other parts of the body such as sore joints, breast,
Lungs etc, And this infection mainly disturbs the functions of
digestion creating the problems such as bloating, gas, food reactions
and allergies, constipation, diarrhea and a host of digestive
complaints.
Those who are suffering from cancer or AIDS or normally the person
having the weak immune systems are at the higher risk of developing
these diseases. Overgrowth of these yeast results in depression,
headache, mood changes, sinus problem, lose of memory & concentration
etc., womens are more affected by this diseases then the counterpart.
